Inventions Handbook
Inventions Handbook
In class this week we learned about a long-term project idea that can help students across contents and really allows them to dig deep and become engaged with the text. I think “invention conventions” are a perfect example of this. Over the course of the semester, students create their own product and then get to share it with the whole class. The specific resource I found is handbook all about leading students to invent. It gives leading questions you can ask your students to help get them thinking what they want to create. The website also offers a lot of history of many inventors if you wanted to start teaching by hooking your students with inventions. If you were on a history unit about a specific inventor this could be a great place to start this project from as well.
