Novel Studies for Math Classes

When looking for my book pitch, I found a website of books and reasons why to do novel studies, even in math classes. This author was features on Channel 5 News for this work. Honestly, before our book pitches I wasn’t sure I would really use a novel in my class. It felt like a good idea but didn’t seem that practical. Where would I find time to have students read when we already have so much math content to get through? Since we have been talking about this and through this article, I found many ways to incorporate novels. I think it could be fun to have students read outside of class and then maybe questions are bonus on the test or something similar. I am interested to learn more about how best to use novel studies in math classes and I think this resource is a great start!
